Tips for your event

A good local event does not need complicated platform logic. What matters is a clear format, understandable information and reliable organisation.

1. Choose the structure first

One venue without participant registration, one central venue with participants, or many distributed locations: choose the structure that matches the real event. The event category does not determine its structure.

2. Keep the description specific

State the date, time, location, audience, access information and what visitors or participants can expect. Avoid promises you cannot reliably deliver.

3. Organise participation

If people can actively participate, explain requirements and deadlines. Distributed events require individual locations; central events do not.

4. Follow the fee rule

YOU DO is intended for events without mandatory admission, registration, stand or participation fees. Sales or voluntary payments within an event are not automatically excluded.

5. Check local legal requirements

Permits, traffic, noise, youth protection, tax or insurance questions depend on the specific event and location. YOU DO does not replace official or legal review. Ask the responsible local authority or specialist body when in doubt.

6. Communicate early and clearly

Publish changes in good time and keep contact details current. For distributed events, make it particularly clear when individual locations become visible.
